When the news of the death of Mark Minnie became public, social media was flooded with conspiracy theories.
One of the main conspiracy theories was that the death of Mr Minnie will be made to look like a suicide as part of wider cover up.
However, is this a conspiracy theory, or just the tip of a very large iceberg?
Suicide or Murder?
It was reported earlier today that Mr Minnie had been found near a bush with a gunshot wound to the head and a firearm lying next to him.
Mr Minnie had been visiting his friend on a farm and this is where his body was discovered.
From this description, it would seem like a simple case of suicide, but according to News24, it might not be as clear cut as it seems.
News24 reports that Mr Minnie and his co-athor, Chris Steyn, had been living in fear since the book was released two weeks ago.
The two authors had been receiving regular death threats and there had been anonymous enquiries about their whereabouts.
Mr Minnie went into hiding but was still actively interviewing sources that could give him more information on the paedophile ring.
Is the Paedophile Ring Still Active
Mr Minnie’s book suggests that during apartheid, multiple powerful men were involved in the ring which ferried young coloured boys to Bird Island in Algoa Bay, where they were molested.
Two of the ministers named in the book had died (Magnus Malan died in 2011 and John Wiley committed suicide in 1987) while a third minister is still alive but unnamed.
A paedophile does not stop being a paedophile, and this should be true for the third unnamed minister.
If he is still alive, then it would be reasonable to suggest that he is still actively trying to satisfy his perverse inclinations.
Furthermore, since there were more than 3 men in the ring, this further suggests that some members of the paedophile ring is still alive and still in contact with each other.
It further suggests that the peadophile ring could still be operating and preying on vulnerable young boys from the Cape Flats.
If this is the case and the ring is still active, it would not unreasonable to assume that some of apartheid’s most powerful and prolific paedophiles would not think twice about murdering anyone that threatens to expose their dirty little secret.
